Ashlea Conti stepped out of the Amateur ring to begin becoming a professional trainer in 2008. She has been on the back of a horse since she could walk and was the youngest rider to win the prized title of Super Horse at the Canadian National Quarter Horse Show as a youth. Ashlea’s experience with horses is broad. She has won numerous Canadian National Champion Titles, placed at the 2000 AQHA Youth World Cup in Italy including Reserve Hi Point Western Pleasure. Her years of riding & showing have won her numerous top placings at some of the biggest shows in Western Canada and U.S. She has trained and won many Hi Point & Circuit Champions, AQHA Register of Merit Earners and NSBA Futurity Champions. Ashlea’s riding career as an amateur and youth have been shaped by working and riding with many of the industry’s top trainers. At Hayton Creek Ranch in Oyama, B.C., Ashlea Conti Performance Horses now offers horse training for all kinds of clients and horses, from trail riding to the more serious show competitor and anything in between. She enjoys stepping out of the arena and onto the trails with almost every horse for the experience, training & the pleasure of relaxing. Ashlea believes the right start on a young horse provides the most important foundation for setting up their successful future as a willing partner. With each client, emphasis is placed on the providing both horse and owner with the tools and building blocks to transition successfully and confidently after going home. Ashlea’s honesty and integrity will help clients wanting to show develop their horse’s abilities and talents in their desired direction. Her years of experience in the show pen give her insight into the sport for the open show horse to the most competitive breed show level. And mostly, Ashlea encourages her clients to have fun!
